The Burger Story
The best kind of food is one that lets you dig in with your hands; so it’s no wonder the glorious burger ticks off all the boxes as a foodie’s go-to comfort food. Our founder Ikram Salam, a self-proclaimed foodie himself, realized the need to go big with the humble burger and what better way to do so then experimenting with a range of flavours that sing in harmony with the Sri Lankan palette.
Hailing from a 20 year background in electronic retail, Ikram made the ground-breaking decision in 2017 to convert the existing shop space owned by his family business, into the first premises for MrBurger. With a prominent road side frontage along Galle Road, MrBurger opened to hungry customers, staying open as late as 4am on weekends to cater to crowds hit with the midnight munchies!
